Primera Gold exported 545.7 kg of Artisanal gold in October 2023
The company Primera Gold SA shipped 171.3 kilograms of gold from artisanal mining in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the United Arab Emirates on October 31, 2023.
This fourth and final export brought the total exports of artisanal gold captured by the Primera Gold company to 545.7 kilograms for the month of October 2023.
“Primera Gold DRC SA shipped, on the last day of October, 171,324.51 grams of gold from artisanal mining to the United Arab Emirates.
This latest export brought to 545,739 grams (545.7 kg) over the entire production for the month of October 2023,” indicates this company on its X account.
Since its creation in December 2022, Primera Gold has achieved very encouraging performance in the purchase of artisanal gold.
In fact, this company has set up a banking system in the process of buying and selling artisanal gold.
The prowess of this joint venture between the DRC and the United Arab Emirates contributes in particular to thwarting mining fraud, especially in the eastern provinces of the country plagued by insecurity (North Kivu, South Kivu and Ituri).
During his speech at the National Gold Day of the Democratic Republic of Congo organized on October 24, 2023, the General Director of Primera Gold affirmed that to date more than 3 tons of artisanal gold escape each month to control the country’s services.
He noted that his company intends to work hard to enable the DRC to achieve the largest volume of artisanal gold exports.
